sue ann + brian planned the most beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony at bodie island lighthouse which also happens to be the same location we captured their sweet surprise engagement! chase and i cherish getting to capture intimate weddings here on the outer banks and having the opportunity to spend time with our couples at some of their favorite places…. chase filmed their day (check out their video below) and i filmed and photographed their day… not something we’ll make a habit, but when brian + sue ann literally planned their entire day around making sure we had enough time for both photo + film, we were able to rock it out and it was PERFECT!

following their ceremony, sue ann changed into a beautiful ‘flowy’ gown and we made our way to my secret spot where they shared private vows along the dunes + waves. getting to witness couples ENJOY their wedding day is an honor and we love when couples aren’t afraid get a little sandy. their day wrapped up with a dinner + toasts from friends at a local restaurant before ending the evening with cake + bubbles!
