zoraida and jerric had a ridiculously sweet surprise proposal at bodie lighthouse. i absolutely fell in love with these two – and how much they love each other. while on a walk outside the lighthouse, jerric dropped to one knee to ask zoraida to marry him.  i over heard her say he even proposed in spanish! their joy was incredible to witness and it reminded me how much i love being a part of these special moments for our couples!

being one of the first to congratulate a couple after a proposal is always such a special experience. zoraida and jerric couldn’t stop smiling and laughing together! zoraida was completely in awe throughout the entire session, and her joy and gratitude made me want to keep giving her all the hugs! 🥲😭🧡 photographing a proposal places me in such a unique and meaningful position, one that I never take for granted. we get to capture those raw, unforgettable moments right after the big “yes,” and knowing those genuine smiles and emotions will be preserved forever is truly a gift. 

zoraida and jerric walked more of the pathway during our portraits together, as we photographed them along with the lighthouse. it’s truly such a beautiful spot on the outer banks – and was a dreamy backdrop for their big moment. the sunset is unreal out here, and i think it looked amazing as zoraida and jerric celebrated their engagement! congratulations again, zoraida and jerric!
